A SMALL SIDE QUEST

Games I’ve made

Two browser games, built as a way to follow an idea all the way from a rough mechanic to a world with rules, surprises, and a reason to play again.

Space mining strategy

SPACE-MFX

A browser-based space strategy game built around a simple, satisfying loop: choose your ship, choose your mission, mine the map, and spend what you find before the next fight.

SPACE-MFX grew from a systems experiment into a full little universe. The early work was about restoring the game’s dark, monospace identity and making the core loop dependable. Later passes tightened the experience around a proper name-entry phase, automatic leaderboard saves, procedural worlds, enemy drops, ship upgrades, planetary bases, bot companions, and a few spectacular ways to turn the tide when the screen gets crowded.

Atari-style survival shooter

MOON RANGER

An old-school side-scrolling survival shooter: drive an open-top jeep across cratered lunar ground, aim the mounted gun, jump enemy fire, and keep the moon alive.

MOON RANGER started as a deliberately small HTML5 Canvas game with no dependencies and no build step. Each changelog entry marks another conversation with the design: the moon theme, red bombers, meteorites, buyable shields and ordnance, three distinct bosses, and finally the endless Patrol beyond level 10. The result is a compact arcade game that keeps finding new ways to ask for one more run.
